The equestrian route through the Sierra returns to Mijas on Saturday 26th of April. The activity, already consolidated in the local calendar, will have as its starting point the Esparragal Park, from where the route will begin at 9:00 hours.

The councillor for Livestock, Eloy Belmonte (Vox), presented the 21st edition of this event on Tuesday 8th, highlighting the attraction of the route: "This year we are repeating the route to El Camorro, going through beautiful spots suhc as Entrerríos. It is a very pleasant route, a real walk through the mountains, suitable for all ages", he said.

According to Belmonte, "it is very important that those interested sign up in advance so that we can plan the resources available and ensure that everything runs safely". He also underlined that, as always, a complete plan will be deployed, "we will have an emergency farrier, a Civil Protection ambulance and the collaboration of the Local Police to cut off the crossings. A completely safe event".

The route is designed for both riders and horse-drawn carriages and does not require previous experience, "the only requirement is the desire to have a good day out. Those who do not have a horse can also hire one", said the councillor, who also recalled that this is already the second route of the year, after the success of the one organised on the beach. "Now we are going to the mountains, and later on, we will also have the awaited full moon route, which we will announce in due course. Each route has its own charm and allows us to enjoy the most special spots of Mijas", he concluded.

We will make a some stops to rest and have refreshments before returning to the Esparragal".

There, at around 15 hours, the participants will be able to enjoy a meal with an artistic performance. "For nature lovers, this is a fantastic opportunity. The countryside is beautiful this spring thanks to the rain, so it is sure to be an unforgettable day", said López-Ayala, who also provided the telephone numbers to register for the activity, 670 066 075 and 635 976 703.
