A 12-year-old boy drowned late on Monday in a swimming pool in Mijas, according to information from 112. The incident took place at a property on Calle Azor, in the El Coto residential area, at around 20:30 hours, when a witness alerted the coordination centre to the drowning of a minor. Members of the Guardia Civil, Local Police and emergency services from the Andalusian Health Service attended the scene and confirmed the boy’s death.
