The Solidarity Caravan of the Malaga Automobile and Fashion Museum, now in its ninth year, will donate all proceeds to the Mijas Association for the Disabled, Adimi. The event will take place on Saturday 14th of June at the Tabacalera square in Malaga, where there will be fun activities for the whole family and from where an impressive parade of classic cars will depart, "which will travel along the entire Malaga seafront and will also be accompanied by a wonderful batucada, as well as the Star Wars Legion 501, which is always a hit", said the co-director of the Malaga museum, Mar González. She added that "we have prepared lots of things for families to enjoy and spend a fun afternoon with us, and also to learn about the work of Adimi, which will be there with information stands to show what they do with their users".
Regarding this charity event, the manager of Adimi, Laura Villa, said: "We are extremely grateful that there are caring hearts who remember our project and want to collaborate with us, especially this year, which is proving to be particularly difficult". Villa also pointed out that the money raised will be used to purchase furniture for the residents, "who live there and have their needs, and it is true that we have received donations of furniture and other items, but we need more specific equipment for this type of service".
The party organised by the Malaga Automobile and Fashion Museum will begin at 18:30 hours, with admission costing five euros. In addition to the parade of classic cars, which will travel along the entire Malaga seafront, the event will feature live music, entertainment and children's games, food trucks and a charity raffle with gifts donated by more than 80 companies. The goal for this year is to exceed the proceeds of the most successful edition, in 2019, when more than 7,000 euros was raised in aid of the Red Cross. "I think we're going to break the record this year and we're very proud because we're already receiving donations of over 1,000 euros and there are still two weeks to go before the event, so I think we're touching the hearts of many people with this social initiative, which is the main one organised by our museum", concluded the also co-director of the museum, Elvira Carrera.
