The Mijas Arts Centre is hosting a new collection. This time, it is a collective exhibition created by readers of Olé Magazine during an acrylic and mixed media painting course organised by the publication and led by Finnish visual artist and art educator Pauliina Ruokokoski.
During the weekend workshop, Ruokokoski encouraged participants to explore their own artistic expression and enjoy the creative process, as she maintains that there is no single right way to create art. Everyone can find their own way of expressing themselves", she explains.
The light, colours and landscapes of Andalusia served as inspiration for the artists behind the works: “The environment is so different from Finland. The mountains, the sea view, the white villages and especially the light are inspiring. In Spain you see colours and shades that simply do not exist in Finland in October", says Ruokokoski.
The works can be viewed at the arts centre until 8th November.
