The Coastal Path is one of the best-known landmarks of the Mijas coastline

The Coastal Path is one of the best-known landmarks on the Mijas coast. Thousands of people choose it to enjoy the sea and a unique perspective of the beaches. For this reason, the Town Hall wants to boost its image and has launched a photography competition with this infrastructure taking centre stage.

This was announced by the mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), accompanied by the councillor for Beaches, Daniel Gómez (PP). As the mayoress explained, the competition “aims to highlight the beauty of the path, as it has hidden gems that make our municipality unique”.

Procedure

Anyone wishing to photograph the Coastal Path or its immediate surroundings may take part. The competition will be divided into two main phases: until the 31st of July, photographs taken in the western section, the stretch between El Bombo (Las Mimosas residential estate) and the Marbella municipal boundary, will be eligible; and from the 1st to the 31st of August, photos taken between Los Cordobeses/La Butiplaya and the Funegirola municipal area will be eligible. Once you have chosen the photo you wish to enter, upload it to Instagram using the hashtag #SendaLitoralMijas and tag the Town Hall's official account (@ayuntamientomijas). Your Instagram profile must be public for the duration of the competition. The terms and conditions can be viewed on the Town Hall's website (www.mijas.es).

The first phase features the beach bars La Luna Beach, La Lucera, Max Beach, El Juncal, Royal Beach Pirata, El Capricho, Panorama, Océano Beach, La Familia, Nacho Playa Beach, and Papa O. The mayoress thanked them all for their enthusiasm and cooperation.
