Las Lagunas Fair
This Friday 26th of June, we invite you to the Municipal Booth in Las Lagunas to enjoy performances by ‘DLocos’, the El Canto del Loco tribute band. This concert will be followed by one of the longest-running acts on the Spanish rock scene, Seguridad Social, who will perform a selection of their greatest hits from midnight onwards.
On Saturday 27th, we’d like to remind you that this marks the first day of the Las Lagunas Day Fair, which opens at 13:00 at Cortijo Don Elías and will feature a full programme of activities. Later that evening, Andy, having parted ways with Lucas, returns to the stage as a solo artist. He will be presenting his ‘Solo Tour’ in Las Lagunas from 00:30.
And on Sunday 28th, the final day of the fair, the evening is set aside especially for our senior citizens with the Tribute Dinner organised by the Mijas Town Hall at 21:00 at the María Zambrano School. At 22:00, Mijas-born Salma, a former contestant on La Voz and Operación Triunfo, will perform live at the Municipal Booth, followed by Merche, who will take to the stage at 23:30.

Other events
Aside from the Las Lagunas Fair, this Friday offers a literary event at La Caleta restaurant at 19:00 featuring authors Marga Gil and Caterina Gavrina, as part of the ‘Santi Clemente’ Spring Literary Series; families in La Cala have the chance to take part in the ‘Summer without Violence’ event in Butibamba Park (19:00); or head to the Manuel España Theatre to see the opera production of Carmen at 20:30
On Saturday, Loma de la Alquería is hosting a major charity event in aid of AFA Mijas starting at 12:30; and at 20:00, ‘Raíces’, a performance by the Escuela de Arte from the Peña Flamenca El Gallo, arrives for flamenco lovers.
On Sunday, the Punto Danza dance school is organising a double bill to raise funds for Afesol. At 17:00, ‘Serás lo que quieras ser’ premieres, and at 19:30, the ‘End-of-Year Gala’ takes place.
