This Saturday, the 20th of June, we have another musical event, this time at the Miguel González Berral Municipal Auditorium in Mijas Pueblo, with a new edition of Jazz Night, organised by the Tourism Department. “We are committed to promoting this type of activity, which boosts the local economy and allows us to show tourists everything Mijas has to offer. On this occasion, it also features a charitable element, and admission will be in the form of non-perishable food items for the Mijas Food Bank”, said Fernando García, from the Mijas Tourism Department.

Rounding off the line-up is O Sister!, a swing band that recreates the golden age of vocal jazz and takes pride in having received the Othels Pop Eye Award for ‘Best national band performing black music’, “a group that draws inspiration from the great Josephine Baker, a black singer, dancer and activist”, said the organisers. "This year we’ve managed to bring back a group, an American sextet, though all the members live in Seville, and they’re set to be a real highlight of this themed evening. This will be their second year, and judging by the feedback, it went very well”, explained José Francisco García, CEO of Pandaluz.
The auditorium will open its doors at 21:00 and the concert will begin at 22:00.
