C.Bejarano / C.Luque. The Brotherhood of Jesús Vivo, Nuestra Señora de la Paz and Nuestra Señora de la Piedad de Las Lagunas is already preparing for its traditional ‘romeria’ (pilgrimage) of the Virgen de la Paz to El Esparragal Park. It has therefore announced that next Friday, the 22th of May, it will unveil the poster for this event, which is now a tradition in this Mijas district.

As every year, the event will take place in the square in front of the ‘casa hermandad’, in Plaza de Jesús Vivo, from 20:30 hours. Beforehand, a Mass will be held at 19:00 hours, followed by the floral offering. The event will feature the Coro de Santiago, who will provide entertainment for the evening with a selection of songs.

Furthermore, just like last year, the Peña Caballista de Mijas will accompany the Virgin on the journey to El Esparragal, they will also present their poster for 2026 on the same day, with the aim of encouraging riders to take part in traditional dress.

The brotherhood also invites all local residents to attend the poster presentation to discover first-hand what has been prepared for this journey and meeting with the faithful, which will take place on 31st of May.
