It is well known that dance and music promote socialising and integration for everyone, regardless of age, as well as providing healthy moments of happiness. Promoting this activity for the town’s retirees  is guaranteed success, or at least that is what the Mijas Senior Citizens’ Department hopes. From the 24th of April, it will offer this leisure programme on either Fridays or Sundays, depending on the area.

In Las Lagunas, those interested in enjoying a lively evening of dance should head to their active participation centre every Friday from 20 to 22:30 hours.

Dancing in Mijas Pueblo and La Cala will take place on Sundays, alternating between the two centres each week. It starts in Mijas Pueblo on Sunday 26th from 17:30 to 20:00 hours, and continues in the seaside village on Sunday 3rd of May from 19:30 to 22:00 hourls. No prior registration is required to take part; you just need to turn up with plenty of energy and keep going until you can dance no more…
