The incident took place at 00:13, when a man was struck by a vehicle on the A-7 dual carriageway near Sitio de Calahonda (Mijas Costa), specifically at kilometre 1028 in the direction of Fuengirola.
The 061 Health Emergency Centre, part of the Andalusian Health Service, attended to the victim and certified his death at the scene. Officers from the Civil Guard and Local Police also attended the site to assist those involved.
