As is the tradition, Mijas Comunicación has pulled out all the stops for the municipality's Holy Week with an extensive human and technical deployment, all to bring you the highlights of the various processions that have taken place over the past few days across the three districts. This effort has resulted in more than 20 hours of live broadcasting.

Mijas Comunicación’s goal was, once again, to bring the very best of Mijas’ Holy Week to your screens. On Holy Tuesday, we provided live coverage of the Cristo de Medinaceli procession in Las Lagunas; on Holy Wednesday, that of Cristo de la Columna from Barrio Santana; while on Holy Thursday, we broadcast the Stations of the Cross in Las Lagunas alongside the departure of the Nazareno in Mijas Pueblo.

Good Friday was particularly intense, with up to five processions on the streets across the three districts. The coverage began at seven in the evening with the departure of the Cristo de la Paz brotherhood in Mijas, followed by the three simultaneous processions: the Jesús Vivo brotherhood in Las Lagunas, the Santa Teresa parish group in La Cala and the Santo Entierro in Mijas, concluding in the early hours of the morning with the procession of the Virgen de la Soledad.

In addition to these more than 20 hours of live broadcasting, we have also aired special programmes over the last few days covering Palm Sunday in the three centres, the various transfers of the brotherhoods, and other religious events during Mijas’ Passion Week. Please remember that all these programmes are available on our website, Mijascomunicacion.com, in the ‘Televisión a la Carta’ section, as well as on our YouTube channel.

In our Holy Week review, we must also highlight the work carried out on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, and Threads, where we have published over 40 Reels since Holy Tuesday, as well as numerous albums featuring the best photographs of the various processions. These images will be featured in an extensive special report currently being prepared by the ‘Mijas Semanal’ for this Friday’s edition.

- La actividad en redes sociales también ha sido frenética desde el Martes Santo.
