The Training and Job Opportunities Fair will bring together more than 55 companies

Participants can attend freely without the need for registration to find out about the employment and training offers available.

The Department of Economic Development of the Mijas Town Hall is promoting access to employment with the 2nd Training and Employment Opportunities Fair, FDEFOL 26. On the 18th of March, the National Hospitality Reference Centre-CIOMijas will host more than 55 companies and entities that will offer training and job vacancies in different sectors across our province.

The initiative aims to bring new employment, training and career guidance opportunities to the public. According to the councillor responsible for the department, Juan Carlos Maldonado (PMP), “we are once again organising this job and training opportunities fair, in collaboration with CIOMijas and the Junta de Andalucía, which has made it possible for this second edition to take place”.

The event will be held from 09:30 to 14:30 hours on the 18th of March and is open to the general public with no registration required. The day will bring together more than 55 companies and organisations from various sectors that will offer direct information on training programmes, job opportunities and resources to improve employability. Attendees will be able to learn first-hand about a wide variety of offers from different sectors.

Diverse range of offers

According to Maldonado, “we will have representation from many sectors, including agri-food, as well as others related to consultancy, new ventures, technology and artificial intelligence. In short, we have possibilities within our economy and within Málaga that must be capitalised on, and from our department, we will continue to promote these initiatives to diversify the range of possibilities for our residents as much as possible”.

Collaborations

In addition to private companies and academies, the organisation and development of this initiative involves the collaboration CIOMijas, the Andalusian Employment Service, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Professional Army. Furthermore, the temping agency Adecco, which will also deliver several talks and presentations. Maldonado stated that “this edition is backed by significant corporate support. At the moment, 55 companies and institutions will be taking part. At this fair, training will play a key role, as it enables qualifications and job placement with greater certainty".
