The Mijas Town Hall, through its Culture Department, has opened the application process for cultural organisations and groups in Mijas to apply for grants to fund their activities. A total of 65,000 euros have been allocated to this scheme, with a maximum grant of 5,000 euros per association. The application period is now open.
"The aim of these grants is to promote the cultural network of Mijas by supporting non-profit associations and the activities they carried out throughout 2025, specifically those related to the promotion, dissemination, and advancement of culture in all its forms", said the councillor for Culture, Juan Carlos Maldonado (PMP).

Regarding the requirements, entities registered in the Municipal Register of Associations that have been declared of municipal public utility and are based within the municipality may apply. Projects completed and justified between 1 January and 31 December 2025 will be eligible for the subsidy.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 days from the 16th of February. Submissions must be made electronically via the municipal website. The maximum funding available per organisation is 5,000 euros.
