The Christmas Market opens its doors in Mijas Pueblo with a total of nine stalls where visitors can find almost everything, as highlighted during the inauguration by the councillor for Public Roads, Melisa Ceballos (PP). "There is fig bread, crafts, Christmas items that are great for gifting during this wonderful Christmas season".

On its first day, the vendors were very pleased with the turnout. That morning, we visited some of the stalls, such as María Fristchi's, who makes amigurumis. "They are all crocheted Christmas items. We have dolls to hang on the tree, reindeer, elves, they are stuffed with wadding, and there is a little house made entirely of crochet, with a room inside".

  • Ubicado en la plaza de la Constitución, se visitar en horario de 11 a 19 horas.

At the stand of Inmaculada Jimenez, participating for the third consecutive year, we find not only handcrafted items but also homemade food "such as sweet mistela wine, sweet potato and cider-filled pastries, egg doughnuts and, new this year, apple pie, as well as Christmas products sewn by hand by me".

Corte de Autor is also taking part in the market offering a wide variety of gourmet products, as Alberto Sánchez pointed out: "We offer Iberian and Spanish products, as well as different types of cheese, pâtés, and hams, which we provide for both locals and tourists".

Ceballos also announced that the Christmas Market will host live performances: "We will have 'pastorales', storytelling, live music, viola and violin concerts... in short, a wide variety of activities".

  • Inmaculada Jimenez participa por tercer año consecutivo.

In addition to these nine stalls, there will be others for charitable causes: AFA Mijas, Piache, Sembrando Sonrisas and Amigos de la Literatura.

Finally, Ceballos invited "everyone to come and visit Mijas Pueblo, which will be beautiful from the 3rd of December, when the Christmas lights are switched on, and to take the opportunity to stroll around the Christmas Market".
