The arrival of an Atlantic trough in Andalusia will bring locally intense rainfall and storms across the province of Málaga on Wednesday, 5th of November. As confirmed by the State Meteorological Agency in Spain (AEMET), the likelyhood of showers and storms rises to 100% between 18 and 23:59 hours, which is why an orange warning for rain has been issued for the entire province, coming into effect at 12 noon in municipalities such as Ronda, Marbella, Estepona and Manilva.
Accumulations of up to 30 litres per square metre are expected in one hour and, according to AEMET, the formation of tornadoes cannot be ruled out. During the afternoon, the wind will shift from east to west, while temperatures in Mijas will remain around 23 degrees at maximum.
