They raised 1,635 euros and prizes and gifts were handed out

Last Friday, the Donors' Club Friends of the La Cala Lions held a charity lunch to raise funds, collecting a total of 1,635 euros. The event took place at La Catedral Restaurant in Las Lagunas, where around 50 people attended.

"The Donors' Club is made up of people of all nationalities who support the causes, projects and activities carried out by the La Cala Lions through an annual contribution of 30 euros per donor", explained Mario Bravo (PP), councillor for Foreigners at the Mijas Town Hall. They also take part in activities such as Friday's event, which help to continue raising funds.

The charity lunch concluded with a raffle. "We must keep seeking support because we want to help as many people as possible in the Mijas community", said the secretary of the La Cala de Mijas Lions Club, Anita Van Gelder.
