Following the public draw for places on the 2025 Senior Citizens Trip, the Mijas Town Hall has published the list of successful applicants and the waiting list. These can be consulted on the noticeboard of the municipal website (www.mijas.es) and in the Senior Citizens section of the same website (see list).

Payment for the trip

Those who have been awarded a place may pay for the trip at the offices of the Senior Citizens Department in the three towns. In Las Lagunas, the payment period will be from September 12th to 19th (on the 12th and 19th from 9:00 to 14:00 hours and from September 15th to 18th from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 hours). In Mijas Pueblo, the days set aside for this purpose will be September 22nd from 9:00 to 14:00 hours and September 23rd from 9:00 to 14:00 hours and from 16:00 to 19:00 hours. In La Cala, payments can be made from the 24th to the 26th of September from 9:00 to 16:00 hours. The Senior Citizens Department has announced that "anyone who does not pay the public fee within the established period will lose their right to participate in the trip".

The public fee to be paid is a single amount of 6.50 euros per person per stay. Payment must be made by bank card at the Senior Citizens Department offices or by bank transfer to account number ES 68 0049 7256 4027 1000 7812. The Town Hall reminds that "it is important to include the name of the applicant in the transfer" and emphasises that "failure to pay will result in exclusion". Once payment has been made, successful applicants must collect their ticket with the allocated place at the Senior Citizens Offices of the Active Participation Centres (Mijas Pueblo and Las Lagunas) and the La Cala Senior Citizens Centre.

The Senior Citizens Department also informs that "exceptionally, single rooms may be available, if requested, subject to availability and until the quota of rooms of this type is filled". In addition, "a supplement of 147 euros per single room has been established by the company and must be paid to the company awarded the contract for the  travel programme for senior citizens prior to departure". Finally, in cases where individual applications are received which, according to the established quotas, cannot be accommodated in this way, "they will be subject to the general accommodation regime of sharing a double room", according to the municipal department.

 

Shifts

A total of 1,600 people will participate in this year's event, which will be held in Matalascañas (Huelva). The trip is organised into four shifts on the following dates: October 7th to 10th, October 14th to 17th, October 21st to 24th, and October 27th to 30th.
