The 2025 La Cala de Mijas Fair is here to bring people together, thrill them and celebrate the very best of La Cala. The countdown has begun for six days of music, partying and tradition.
The mayoress of the town, Ana Mata (PP), has invited everyone to enjoy these festivities, "a much-awaited fair, not only for the people of La Cala, but also for all those who come to spend the summer in Mijas", said the mayoress. A celebration for all ages, where visitors "can enjoy rides and free performances at the Municipal Booth, with a programme designed by the festivities committee", added Mata.
First day of the fair
The festivities will begin today, Tuesday 22nd of July, when, according to the mayoress, the fair’s lights will be switched on, followed by a a performance by Manuel Orta at the Municipal Booth at 23:30 hours. In addition, there will also be a dinner in honour of our elders, ‘those elderly people who have made such a great effort throughout their lives so that we can be who we are today", added the mayoress of Mijas. During the evening, the Grandfather and Grandmother of the La Cala de Mijas Fair 2025 will be chosen.
Tuesday is also a day "dedicated to the little ones, with rides at half price, at 2.50 euros per ride", said Mata. To ensure that all children can enjoy the fair, from 19 to 21 hours, the characteristic sound of the ride areas will be switched off for children with special needs.
Daytime fair
The mayoress also highlighted the daytime fair, which will begin on Friday at 14 hours.
"It is also a fair for holidaymakers who spend their holidays in our town, so the party and activities take place not only at the fairground, but also in the morning at El Torreón", said the mayoress, who added that "all the local businesses take part in the celebration, as it is a great attraction".
