On Tuesday 1st, two craftswomen, Azahara Rodríguez and Cêcile Brillet, presented a joint exhibition that will remain open to the public until the 30th of July at the Mijas Pueblo Tourist Office. Crochet, the first, and ceramics, the second, are the crafts showcased by the artisans. The councillor for Tourism, Francisco Jerez (Vox), attended the inauguration of the exhibition to support them and to highlight the mastery of both artists.

“In this Tourist Office, exhibitions change every month, and we have no intention of stopping this initiative in either the near or distant future”, said the councillor. Rodríguez, a crochet expert, is self-employed and runs the business La Cangrejita Tejedora: “I have a clothing brand based on measurements rather than sizes, so I work to order, tailoring each garment to fit like a second skin”. She has been a member of the Mijas Craft Association for three years and considers exhibiting her work at the Tourist Office, aimed at visitors, "a privilege". Brillet, who is exhibiting her beautiful ceramics, also valued the opportunity: "It is a great chance to exhibit in such a well-visited location during July, it’s sure to be fantastic".
