According to the director of Exploramás, Manuel Araújo, this year we’re offering activities with new equipment and an incredible team of instructors who will make the introduction to these sports a fantastic experience. On days when we can’t go out to sea, we’ll have other sporting activities such as beach volleyball and games on the sand. Right now, we’ve got more than 10 paddle boards, eight double kayaks, and two giant big paddle boards, so we’re set for an extraordinary summer.” According to Mata, "more than 200 young people will be able to enjoy the sea here and take part in all these activities.
Registration
Registration must be made on the Wednesday (starting from July 2nd) of the same week you wish to attend. Bookings can be done by scanning the QR code on the promotional posters or directly via the website www.experiencias.es. The programme is open not only to young people but also to families, and it welcomes both residents and visitors.
Araújo also explained that "the activities are offered in 30-minute sessions starting at 17 hours. Each session can accommodate 30 people, who must be over 8 years of age and accompanied by a responsible adult who must also enter the sea with them. For paddle surfing, the minimum age is 12 and participants must be at least 1.50 cm tall".
Healthy living
Territorio Juventud will also feature a 'vitamin stop' offering lemonade, fruit and energy bars for participants, as well as background music. According to the Town Hall the initiative aims to promote healthy outdoor activities in a natural environment, encourage sustainable environmental values, sociability among young people, and cooperation and teamwork.
Expansion
Mata announced that the Town Hall plans to expand the programme next summer. "Our aim is to offer more activities next year. We don't want to limit it to the weekend, we hope to offer something from Monday to Friday too, but that's something we'll have to work on", said the mayoress. Finally, the events director at Exploramás, Eva Rosado, invited all young people and families "to come and enjoy the best summer of their lives here in La Cala, where we’ll be waiting with open arms and lots of fun".
