On May 1st, the Mijas Town Hall will organise the traditional 'sardinada' (Sardine Feast) to coincide with International Workers' Day. Residents and tourists are invited to the Plaza del Torreón at 12 noon, where they will be offered up to 600 kilos of sardines, prepared by 18 sardine roasters, workers of the Operational Services Department.
The public will also be able to enjoy a great atmosphere, where there will be live music with the performance of Alboreá and Radio 80 from 13:30 hours. There will also be a bar service run by the La Cala Youth Association, which will offer other tastings and drinks at popular prices.
