The Mijas Town Hall has given the company in charge of the La Cala swimming pool a new 30-day deadline to remedy all the defects in order to accept the infrastructure. The mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), recalled on Friday 14th that in order to accept this infrastructure it was necessary to fill the pool and make the appropriate checks, although the drought situation prevented the execution of this action, just as there was no definitive light, something that was achieved in May last year.
After the filling, the Town Hall detected a series of problems that prevented the installation from being accepted. "There were leaks in the pool, leaks, leaks in the roof, impracticable windows, defects in the installations, dirt... We found all this, despite the fact that the previous local executive presented the installation and said it was finished, which was far from the truth", said Mata.
In this regard, the Town Hall reported that on January 28th a new unfavourable acceptance report was signed as there were still incidents in the infrastructure and a lack of documentation. Since that date, the company has been given a new 30-day deadline to rectify the errors in order to accept the municipal facilities once and for all. "I am confident that by the end of February we will be able to accept the work", said the mayoress on Friday.

It has a grandstand for about 500 spectators, as well as changing rooms. The building also has an administration and reception area, a meeting room, a first aid room and mechanical and cleaning rooms.
