The Mayor's Office changes the distribution of some departments

The government team affirms that the objective is to “favour the efficiency” of the different delegations

The Mayor’s Office of the Mijas Town Hall announced last Wednesday 29th a reshuffle of different areas of the government team with the aim, according to the local executive, of ‘’increasing efficiency in the municipal delegations’’. It is a redistribution of different departments, something that has already come into effect through a mayoral decree. 

The mayoress of the municipality, Ana Mata (PP), pointed out that these changes are the natural result of more than a year of government, which seek to “improve municipal management in order to offer citizens the best service”. The mayoress thanked the different representatives for the work carried out so far and expressed her conviction that they will give “the best of themselves in this new stage full of challenges and exciting projects for Mijas”. 

In this way, the councillor Juan José Torres Trella (PP) adds to his current responsibilities the Department of Education, while Silvia Marín (PP) does the same with the UP. Mari Francis Alarcón (PP) will now be in charge of Social Inclusion and Volunteering, in addition to Sports and Cemetery, the ones she was already in charge of; while the councillor Melisa Ceballos (PP) will be in charge of the management of Public Roads, Youth, Market and Street Vending, and Youth Hostels.
