Mijas promotes tourism at the Costa del Sol Golf Party in Madrid. This competition, which took place on Monday 20th in the Spanish capital, has consolidated itself as a key event in the promotion of golf tourism, with the outstanding participation of Mijas. The municipality, which has more than 17% of the golf courses on the Costa del Sol, continues to consolidate its position as a benchmark for quality sports tourism.

Mijas participated as a sponsor of the Costa del Sol Golf Party, an event held on January 20th at the National Golf Centre in Madrid. The initiative, promoted by the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, the Town Halls of Mijasl, Benahavís and Marbella, Tourism and Planning of the Costa del Sol, together with JGolf, coincided with Fitur, consolidating itself as a platform to highlight the tourism offer  in the region.

This event, which marks the start of the international fair, has been conceived as a great celebration to highlight the Costa del Sol as a leading golf tourism destination. During the day, professionals from the tourism and sports sector shared experiences and reinforced the image of the Costa del Sol as an international benchmark in this type of tourism. The importance of the golf segment in attracting visitors with high purchasing power was also underlined.

The event was attended by the councillor for Tourism, Francisco Jerez (Vox). The participation of Mijas is part of the government team's interest in positioning the municipality as a comprehensive destination, capable of offering an evocative and multi-sensory experience, with a differentiated and committed offer.
