The Creamar Mijas group is looking for volunteers to help conserve the marine environment

  • A training day for interested parties will be held soon
  • Desde Creamar recuerdan que Mijas es uno de los municipios con mayor biodiversidad marina de Málaga.

The platform aims to act immediately in the event of possible incidents that may occur on the coast of Mijas, such as dumping or stranding of animals

The new Creamar Mijas group, created last December after the signing of an agreement between the Mijas Town Hall and the Aula del Mar Foundation, is looking for volunteers to help conserve the marine environment and will soon be holding a day to train people interested in this subject.

To join this new network of volunteers you only need to be of legal age, live near the coast of Mijas and be available to participate in the necessary actions to address occasional dumping, impacts of climate change, strandings, nesting or custody of protected areas, among others.

You can register for this group by emailing voluntariado@auladelmarmed.org, via WhatsApp, calling 690 288 167, or by using the QR code that appears on the poster of the activity.

Creamar reminds us that Mijas is one of the municipalities with the greatest marine biodiversity in Malaga, especially for its posidonia meadows, hence the importance of raising public awareness of the importance of protecting our coastline.
