The harsh story of personal survival of the Andes plane crash is back in the news, after the successful Spanish film ‘La sociedad de la nieve’ (Society of the snow).  On this occasion, one of the survivors, Eduardo Strauch, will be in Mijas on the 26th of September, in the Manuel España Theatre in Las Lagunas, as part of the annual ‘attendis Talks’ event for the families of these schools.  

The representative of attendis schools in Marbella, Javier Palma explained that "we considered Strauch to be a very interesting person, who reflects and represents effort and self-improvement, values that are very present in our schools", and added that "these events are a meeting point to discuss issues that have an impact on people's lives, on society in general".

In the talk, Strauch will share his experience as one of the 16 survivors of the 1972 Andes plane crash. The conference has the support of the Mijas Town Hall, for which the representative of attendis schools in Malaga, Maria Garcia, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity "to hold this event at the theatre in Las Lagunas". In addition, the representative explained that "these events improve society, and are a way of accompanying parents as the primary educators of their children". 

The organisation encourages the general public to watch the talk in streaming through the social media channels of the Attendis group.

Finally, councillor Juan Carlos Maldonado, said that  ‘the department is always willing to collaborate with these initiatives, on this occasion, by lending the facilities of the Manuel España Theatre, which is available to disseminate not only culture but also important aspects that society demands, such as educational values and personal growth"
