The end of the summer is here, but before getting back into the routine, it was time to say goodbye to the summer season in style: with a foam party in the Water Park. The Department of Festivities held on Friday the last event of the Veraneando programme with music, foam and lots of fun.

This party was the grand finale to the four events that took place during the month of August in which there was comedy, music and entertainment. Young and old came to this park in Las Cañadas to enjoy a foam party which was enlivened by an entertainment group. The councillor for the area, Silvia Marín (PP), explained that "the aim of the programme was to organise activities in all the neighbourhoods, so that people could move around and experience and feel Las Lagunas. Today, above all, the aim was to bid farewell to the summer for the children, who are already thinking about the new school year". 

During the afternoon, the little ones told us how they were enjoying the party. Some, like Darío and Lara, said that "I had a great time. I jumped on the inflatables, although I couldn't get on the big one", his sister, who was full of foam, said that "I am full of foam beacuse I have been passing just under the cannon”. For her part, Elisabeth, said that "I jumped on the trampolines and went down the slides", and her classmate Sofía commented that "it's almost time to start school and homework".

The older participants also expressed their joy at this activity. One of the mothers who attended, Inma, accompanied by her son Cristóbal, said that "the party is very good, very entertaining. I can't tell who is having more fun". For his part, another father, who went with his wife and two little ones, stressed that "the programme is very good. It's something new and the truth is that we appreciate the fact that they are doing new things".

Assessment
Finally, the councillor gave a brief assessment of how this new programme of activities has gone: "The balance is very positive. We hope to have a programme next year, also during July, and that we can do the different activities in all the parks as we have been doing this August".
