The beach bar Los Moreno celebrated on Thursday 1st of August its inauguration party with many friends, neighbours and tourists who are on holiday in La Cala de Mijas.

The event was also attended by the mayoress, Ana Mata (PP), along with members of her government team, who did not want to miss the opportunity to congratulate the owner of the establishment, Salva Moreno for the reform carried out, complying with the regulations of the Junta de Andalucía, as well as to wish him “great success in the present and in the future because these types of establishments create a lot of work in our town, as well as attending to many people, it is practically our showcase”, said the mayoress.

Some years have gone by before this well-known beach bar in La Cala is back in action, but if there was one thing that the owner was clear about, it was that he wanted to “keep the same, the essence of the restaurant, on the sand, and offering the same food”. In 1996 his father started the business alone, running what was then an ice-cream kiosk and the hammocks. Today, his son continues with the family business, but has adapted it to the times, to the changes that have taken place in La Cala. 

Alejandra López was one of the tourists who attended the inauguration party and expressed that what she likes the most about the new establishment is “the view, it’s amazing, the atmosphere, it’s very nice”. Another attendee, Mena Estrella, emphasised that “in La Cala de Mijas everything is magical. Here we are very well located, very happy and you can see the atmosphere, amazing”.
