The auditorium in Mijas Pueblo will host during the month of August a series of tribute concerts to legendary artists and bands such as ABBA, The Beatles, Bon Jovi and Elvis Presley. The Legends Weekend will be held in two parts: from the 2nd to the 4th of August and on Friday 16th of August. 

“I think the shows we have prepared for this year are quite varied, with different music styles, and I think they will be very popular, especially because of the talent of the talented artist we have”, said the festival’s promoter, Alberto Cohen, at the presentation of the line-up.  On the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 16th of August, Mijas will certainly experience a legendary weekend and no wonder. Those who wish to vibrate with the greatest hits by ABBA, Bee Gees, Paul McCartney, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Ray Charles or Elvis Presley have an appointment at the auditorium in Mijas Pueblo. “Because they are artists who really emulate the originals, both in vocals and staging, and people leave super happy, because, in some way, we relive the music of an era that is no longer repeated”, added Cohen. 

A party for all audiences

“We are a group that plays classics from the 80s, rock songs that practically all of us grew up with. When we chose the songs for this festival we were very clear, we chose songs that everyone knows and what we try to do is to make it a big party, a party where everyone enjoys the music and the atmosphere”, said the vocalist of Stereo 80, Claudio Pantaleón.

Legends Weekend is also a unique opportunity for different generations to come together in the same space: those who grew up with these bands, children who nurtured their ears listening to their parents’ music, and young people who, due to their musical interest, have discovered these legends who are the best pop and rock artists from the 60s, 70s and 80s. “I always say that good music is timeless, because in these tribute concerts we find a lot of young people, it really seems that good music does not grow old”, added the promoter.

In the same vein, the singer Patricio Guevara, who plays Bon Jovi, expressed himself: “I’ve been doing this Bon Jovi tribute for years now, more than 20, and what impresses me most is the variety of ages that enjoy these tributes. I always enjoy them and the audience’s response is always magnificent”.
