The Tamisa Golf Hotel will reopen its doors in October with a new concept of luxury boutique hotel with 24 suites. The incorporation of the new restaurant ‘El Mirador Golf’ will be another of the attractions that everyone will be able to enjoy, as it will be open to the general public.
Mijas will continue to expand its tourist offer with the reopening of the establishment, which has been closed since 2019. It has been acquired by the business group Salmántica Cum Laude, who were impressed by the location: "when we came to see the hotel for the first time we fell in love with the place. Not only the location of the hotel itself, with the views we have over the golf course, the mountains, Mijas village, the five-minute drive to Los Boliches beach, the proximity to Benalmádena, Marbella and so on ..... The location is spectacular", explained Casimiro Rodríguez, director of the hotel.

There will be around twenty people on the staff and hiring them will promote local employment because, in the words of Rodriguez, "being here in Mijas, what we want is to hire people from Mijas". As for the profiles, "we will be looking for people who are eager to work, versatile, because in a small business like this one we need versatility, that is to say, that a person who works in reception can do some other services, as well as in the cafeteria, restaurant and others", he added.
The remodelling of the hotel is already underway, changing the concept and philosophy, although maintaining the name. The rooms have been personalised, with different decorations in each of them. The bathrooms, the lounges, the spa, the outdoor area with the swimming pool and the restaurant will also have a new look. The restaurant ‘El Mirador Golf’ will be open to the public, anyone can go without having to be a guest at the hotel, and will offer an interesting gastronomic offer.
Likewise, the project will also be committed to hosting events, such as weddings, in the common areas, in which the group has great experience in the other establishments they already have.
