A stroll through the village and a visit to these stalls is another attraction for the tourists who visit Mijas. Among the different stalls in the square, we found the one run by Carla, a craftswoman who has been offering her creations in Mijas for several summers. She told us about the pieces she makes, including flower lamps made from recycled fabrics, wire sculptures, and leaf earrings.
At María FritschiI's stall we can find handmade knitted and crocheted products. From clothes and accessories to these much sought-after dolls, called 'amigurumis', which means knitted stuffed creature in Japanese.
Many tourists visit this market, where, as we have seen, everyone can find a little something to take home. Lorraine King and Ronda Mc Gelton visited the market and agreed that it is a lovely place to stroll around and have a good time.
Remember that you can visit this craft market in the afternoons, from Mondays to Thursdays in July and August, in the Plaza Virgen de la Peña, in Mijas Pueblo.
