Saturday's festivities began with the official inauguration of the Day Fair on Miguel Hernández Avenue by the municipal authorities and the queen and king of the 2024 fair. After the traditional ribbon cutting, the Santiago Choir offered a wide repertoire of sevillanas on one of the two stages installed, while the students of the Aprende y Baila academy, led by Evely Bravo, offered a musical and colourful performance with different dance choreographies. The group Trenzao was in charge of livening up the rest of the afternoon with fun musical compositions and medleys of popular songs. Along with them, the establishments surrounding this street worked at full capacity, offering drinks and food to complete the festivities.
In the afternoon, the rides and stalls began to operate at the fairground and the Municipal Booth hosted the performance of another local academy, Expresión, directed by María José Bueno.
The big performance of the night was given by the siblings Kiko and Shara from Cádiz, who have been touring Spain since the beginning of May with their tour 'Quiero oír tu voz' (I want to hear your voice). On stage they gave a good sample of their varied flamenco pop repertoire, which included songs such as 'Todo sin es contigo', 'Si me amas' and 'Perro que ladra no muerde'. A devoted audience chanted along to his songs, especially the most popular ones.
To close the Saturday night, the group Espotifai took over the stage, making the audience dance until late into the night. Also the Youth Booth, set up next to the Cortijo Don Elías, had the participation of the artists David Clark, Inma Pérez and G. Zamora.
