Part of the board of directors of the Lions Club of Mijas, made up by the president of the organisation, Guy Rondou, and the international director, Luis Domínguez, visited last Wednesday the day centre of the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's patients (AFA) of Mijas. The directors of the entity had not personally visited these facilities, where the elderly with Alzheimer's are cared for and where they spend the morning doing workshops and therapies and are assisted by AFA's qualified staff and volunteers. 

The club has been collaborating with the group for several years on different projects and, in particular, they are responsible for paying for the breakfasts for the elderly during their morning break. They were therefore very interested in learning about the resources, materials and facilities of this association in Mijas Pueblo. 

The directive was received by the director of the day centre, Mari Carmen López, together with Manuel Cabello, member of the AFA board of directors. López assured that "we are very happy with this collaboration. They have been helping us in our work for several years. Every six months we send them the invoices for these purchases and the association pays for them. For us it is a great collaboration". 

The Lions Club also showed their satisfaction for the work done by the association in this day centre, which received their congratulations and commitment to continue helping them in their work with the elderly of Mijas.
