Under the name 'Habitus', the photographer Nani Hernández shows in his snapshots different ways of experiencing life. For him, the protagonists of the images represent how they have behaved during their lives. The technique used by Hernández is called constructed or staged photography. "First you have to have an idea, then look for models, props, costumes, location, lighting; then you have to set up a scheme and carry it out. In the end you only bring one photo, you don't bring more, you can bring that photo from different perspectives, but only one photo", said Hernández.

Nani Hernández has been working as a photographer since 1978, with countless exhibitions and works of different kinds during that time. But for him, "this collection is one of my favourite ones because it is very pictorial, I really like pictorialism in photography, so this is the one that fascinates me the most; although I also do documentary or street photography, but this is the one that interests me the most", said the artist.

For his part, the president of the Remedios Medina Foundation, Javier Fructuoso, affirmed that "this is the second photography exhibition we have had. When they proposed it to me and we saw the works, I feel it had to be presented here. The exhibition will be here for three months, which is the normal period for a temporary exhibition".

Institutional support was present at the inauguration of the exhibition. Juan Carlos Maldonado (PMP), Councillor for Culture, commented that "the staging is fantastic and the composition is magnificent. Although the photos are varied, they are all very appealing. The CAC is a great space for Mijas to provide such interesting cultural content and opportunities for artists so that together we can continue to work on the cultural destination that our municipality represents".

A total of 23 photographs make up the exhibition 'Habitus', which can be visited until the 3rd of October at the CAC Mijas.
