The Avatés Association is donating 30 pairs of shoes for the Ekisil project, which this summer will bring shoes to 80 children in a refugee camp in South Sudan. The packages will leave on June 27th. In addition, a solidarity urban hiking route has been organised in Malaga to continue raising funds. Avatés is once again showing its most supportive side by helping other groups and associations, on this occasion, this children in Sudan.
Its president, Pepi Moya, said that "one of our honorary members brought us the project and told us what the aim was, to get shoes for the children. That's when all the members of Avatés got involved to achieve it, through donations and with what we collected at our kiosk. Once again, we want to collaborate, of course".
The association from Mijas has managed to raise money for 30 pairs of shoes that will be sent by the NGO Ekisil, under the umbrella of the Amalaikat Foundation, to this children's camp.
In addition to this collection, Avates has organised another event, a solidarity urban walk in Malaga on June 22nd, which requires a donation to register. The objective is to obtain more than 80 pairs of shoes for all the children of Nyangacamp. The refugee children are child soldiers and girls at risk of child marriage who receive refuge and asylum in this camp.
