Cruz Roja Mijas, through its Youth Council, has announced two solidarity activities to be held next week with the aim of raising funds. On Friday 21st, from 18 to 20 hours, they have organised Solidarity Poetry, which will feature a reading with the participation of Rosa María Badillo, Pepa Casanova and Enrique Parapar and the presentation of the book 'Miasmas', by Luis Medina Fernández. His brother, the poet Víctor Manuel Fernández, will also take part and will present some of his work. The event will take place at the exhibition hall in Las Lagunas Cultural Centre, where visitors will have to donate 6 euros to get in. Tickets are available at the headquarters of Cruz Roja Mijas, Calle Río Barbate s/n.

On Saturday 22nd the event ‘Solidaridad bajo el sol’ (Solidarity under the sun) will take place in the Andalucía Park, from 17 to 20:30 hours . There will be crafts and games themed on the jungle and the donation will also be 6 euros and includes a ticket for the Red Cross Golden Raffle.
