The Imagen collective has exhibited a collection of photographs taken during the pandemic at the headquarters of Nuevo Enfoque Mijas. The project is called ‘I stay at home’. A photo-dialogue exhibition that will be on display until the 21st of June.

"This is a first exhibition that we have brought to inaugurate a photographic cycle that we have called 'Fotofilia' in which we want neighbours’ photography associations with our same interests to come to our headquarters and to be able to exhibit here, because we have a large space and the photos look quite good", stresses María José López, president of the Photography Association Nuevo Enfoque Mijas.

To talk without words, just images, that's what this exhibition of photographs taken by some 25 photographers from the Imagen de Fuengirola collective is all about. The project ‘I stay at home’ was born during the pandemic and adapted to the circumstances of the moment, an initiative proposed by the artist Julián Ochoa.

Mercedes Higuero, from the Imagen de Fuengirola Collective, explains that "a photo dialogue is a game that we played between two photographers in which we answered each other with a photo, and when the pandemic arrived we saw that we had to do something more collective, and so we decided to do a photo dialogue between all of us". The pandemic tried to pause their hobby, but it didn't succeed, and here is the proof of it, a way of being connected without words. The exhibition will be on display until the 21st of June.
