The International Association of Golf Tour Operatos (IAGTO), with 660 members, held its International European Golf Convention from the 13th to the 15th of May at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Malaga and presented its awards. One of them went to La Cala Resort, as Spain's Golf Resort of the Year 2024. 

The resort was grateful for the award and noted that it comes at a special time for them: "Receiving the prestigious IAGTO Golf Resort of the Year 2024 award is an immense honour for La Cala Resort, especially as we celebrate our 35th anniversary this year", explained La Cala Resort's general manager, Sean Corte-Real. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to providing exceptional golf experiences on the Costa del Sol. We are truly grateful to IAGTO and the Golf Tour Operators for this prestigious accolade, and we look forward to continuing exceed expectations for our guests", added the general manager of La Cala Resort, located between the mountains and the sea and 30 minutes from Malaga airport and Marbella. 

Three golf courses

The Campo Europa course is slightly wider than the other two courses at La Cala Resort. Due to its design, with wide fairways and flatter terrain, it is the ideal course for mid-level golfers.

The Campo Asia, formerly known as the South Course, it is the oldest golf course at La Cala Resort and also the most challenging, making it the most respected by golf professionals. With short, narrow fairways and 4 par 5 holes, it is a course that requires a very skilled game.

The Campo America, formerly known as the North Course, with spectacular views to the Sierra de Ojén and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a wide course with few bunkers which makes it a relatively easy course.
