A few days ago, an intervention unit of the Mijas Local Police arrested the driver of a vehicle who tried to escape while the officers were carrying out a security check in the area of Calahonda. During the control, the police officers observed a vehicle whose driver, after noticing the police presence, made an evasive manoeuvre and fled, being eventually intercepted in the surrounding area. After being asked for his documentation and being identified, it was verified that the driver did not have a driving licence, for which reason the officers opened criminal proceedings for alleged perpetrator of an offence against road safety, finally being investigated but not detained and the vehicle was taken to the municipal impound.
