Mijas witnessed last Saturday the fourth round of the Rally modality of the XXVI Provincial Cycling Circuit of Malaga. with the participation of 120 riders. The I Rally Mijas-El Chaparral was run on a real mountain bike circuit: technical, twisty and hard in which the downhill sections gave no rest to the riders due to the technical areas. The heat and the dryness of the terrain also took their toll. Great expectation in the start and finish area of the racecourse with a circuit of 4,620 metres to which the participants had to make different turns depending on their category. Each one of them accumulated 96 metres of positive difference in altitude. The women's and masters categories were the first to start, with three laps planned. Gabriel Fraile, first in master 40, won with a time of 44 minutes and 12 seconds. Antonio Salazar won in master 30, Pedro de la Torre, master 50 and Julio Sierra got a new victory in master 60. In women, Adriana Rodríguez won in cadets, followed by Inés Ruiz, winner in juniors, Sandra Coronado was third in the general classification and first in master 30.
