The XIV Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament ‘Villa de Mijas’ will be held on Saturday 23rd of March 2024 in the Sports Centre of La Cala de Mijas. During the morning there will be competitions at pre-cup level and in the afternoon at cup and base level. From nine o'clock in the morning in the sports centre of La Cala de Mijas we will be able to enjoy the individual exercises of the pre-cup category. The tournament has achieved outstanding registration with 20 clubs from Andalusia and 235 gymnasts. "We are very happy because we have received many registrations in a very short time from clubs all over Andalusia and we are trying to organise it in the best possible way", said Nina Gett, coach of the club who was accompanied by Luzma Jaimez, in charge of the pre-cup category athletes "they are very nervous because they have only competed in one event before but we are sure that everything will go well because they have worked very hard". Also attending the press conference was Beatriz Granados, another of the coaches, who highlighted the opportunity to "see the set-ups, how they do it, and modify some elements that are necessary for the official competitions".

Mijas will participate with 23 gymnasts, pre-cup in the morning, cup and base in the afternoon, from three o'clock. Finally, at half past six in the afternoon, diplomas and medals will be awarded, as well as exhibitions and a surprise that the organisers have prepared for us. "For Mijas sportswomen and the club it is an opportunity to continue progressing and improving with a view to official competitions, it is also a day of coexistence between families and we have to help them in the bar that the families set up and that is done to help the club", said Mari Francis Alarcón, Councillor for Sports (PP).
