Last Saturday Misake was inaugurated, a new Asian restaurant located next to the Carretera de Mijas, in Las Yucas urbanisation. The new business opened its doors in an initial event attended by people from different backgrounds. During the event, the mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), together with the owners of the establishment cut the red ribbon, thus inaugurating the restaurant. The moment was followed by a Chinese dragon show, after which the attendees went inside to enjoy dinner. "Any business that is promoted in our municipality is always welcome, because the main objective is to create employment, to make Mijas a municipality in which people who want to stay, who want to be entrepreneurs, who want to believe, can do so in the municipality", said the mayoress. 

In this sense, said Mata, "the Town Hall has supported this business because it allowed the employment of nine Mijeños and surely throughout the season will continue to employ new people". 

Likewise, the mayoress considered that the appearance of new restaurants attracts and encourages tourism in the town. "One of the reasons why tourists are attracted to Mijas, perhaps, is because of its wide range of gastronomy. In this sense, having an Asian restaurant means that we are undoubtedly much richer when it comes to offering gastronomic possibilities", concluded Mata.
