Mijas Comunicación, as the municipal public media company in the town, has planned to contribute once again to the promotion of the traditions of Mijas, especially of such a relevant event as its Holy Week. That is why, this year 2024, we are back to present the sixth edition of our Exhibition of Photographs of the ‘Passion Week’ in Mijas.

"Traditionally, since 2017, the best 40 photos are selected and exhibited during the following year's 'Semana Santa' (Holy Week). Therefore, from the 14th of March until the 1st of April of this year 2024, we are going to exhibit the best photos of 2023", expressed the CEO of Mijas Communication Mario Bravo (PP).

The exhibition will take place in the Mijas Pueblo cultural centre where you will find precious moments captured by our lenses during Holy Week in Mijas. "As you know, my party supports the traditions and the ‘Semana Santa’ is also very significant for tourism and we want to invite everyone to come and see this exhibition of photographs from the previous year", added Juan Carlos Cuevas Dawson (Vox), also CEO of Mijas Comunicación.

39 photographs

The exhibition includes a total of 39 photos printed in size 60 x 40 centimetres of the three areas of the municipality. "These represent all the love and dedication of the Mijas Comunicación staff and we feel very proud because they do not only try to reflect the external appearance but also the feeling of the people during Holy Week which, as I say, is a big week for our municipality", added Bravo.

The photographs also serve as an audiovisual archive of important moments for the municipality. "We are very grateful to the work that Mijas Comunicación does by broadcasting live all the processions in the municipality, and as a result of this work, we can enjoy this exhibition of photographs", concluded Bravo.

This initiative by Mijas Comunicación not only promotes traditions, but also the cultural and touristic offer of the town. The photo exhibition will remain open to the public until April 1st.
