The Three Wise Men will distribute more than 8.000 kilos of gluten-free sweets in Mijas

At the end of the itinerary, the Town Hall will treat the children to hot chocolate and 'roscón de reyes'

The Three Wise Men will distribute over 8,000 kilos of gluten-free sweets in Mijas between the three parades that will pass through the streets of the three urban centres. The procession will be made up of the royal floats, the Christmas entertainment floats, children's entertainment groups, large format entertainment, brass bands and 'batucadas'.  
In addition to the eight tonnes of sugared sweets, the more than 270 children who will take part in the parade will throw 5,000 bags of 'gusanitos', 1,200 candy bars, 2,000 balls, cuddly toys and other goodies. There will also be 5 kilos of sugar-free sweets available, which can be requested from those in charge of the floats.  
According to the Councillor for Festivities, Silvia Marín (PP), Mijas Pueblo's parade is scheduled to begin at 16:30 and at 17:00 the parades of La Cala and Las Lagunas will begin simultaneously.  
Before the parade starts in Mijas Pueblo, the mayoress of the town, Ana Mata (PP), will welcome them at the Town Hall and present them with the key to the city.  
At the end of the parade, their Majesties the Three Wise Men will receive  the children,  to take photos with them and give them the toys that have not yet been distributed. As a final touch, the Mijas Town Hall will invite the residents to hot chocolate and 'roscón de reyes' at the three end stations of the parades: Plaza Virgen de la Peña, in Mijas Pueblo; La Butibamba Park, in La Cala and Maria Zambrano Park, in Las Lagunas.

The itinerary in Mijas Pueblo will start on Avenida Virgen de Peña and will continue along Avenida de Méjico, Malaga, Carril and Coín streets, to go through Barrio Santana to Plaza de Los Siete Caños, where they will turn around to return along the streets of the neighbourhood to Calle Coín and, from there, to Plaza de la Constitución, to continue to Avenida del Compás and finish at Plaza Virgen de la Peña.  
In La Cala de Mijas, the parade will start at 17:00 hours from the boulevard, in front of the cultural centre, down Calle Torremolinos to Calle Torreón, up Calle Marbella to Calle Cártama to finish at La Butibamba park.  
In Las Lagunas, the procession will leave from the water park and will go along San Cristóbal, San Bartolomé, San Javier, La Unión, Avenida de Mijas, Ford roundabout, Santa Laura and Santa Gema streets, Campanales road, Avenida de Mijas, Camino del Albero, Antonio Machado street and Miguel Hernández avenue, meeting Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar at María Zambrano park.  
The three parades will have the collaboration of the following Mijas associations:  Dulce Nombre de Jesús Nazareno Brotherhood, Santísimo Cristo de la Paz Brotherhood, Virgen de la Peña Youth Group, Jesús Vivo Brotherhood, Nuestra Señora de La Paz and Nuestra Señora de la Piedad Brotherhood, 1º de Mayo Neighbourhood Association, Nueva Laguna Neighbourhood Association, Puerto de Los Gatos Neighbourhood Association, Mibu Cultural Association, Calle Torremolinos Neighbourhood Association, Doña Ermita Neighbourhood Association and the Malagueña Cultural Association of Senegalese Immigrants (Acmis).
