On Friday 29th, from 16:00 to 19:00 hours, invited by the Department for Festivities and Traditions, a royal postman will visit the Fernán Caballero Park in Las Lagunas, where the children will be able to deliver their letters and have fun in the Christmas City with its games and workshops. The following day, another postman, but in this case a 'friend' of the Virgen de la Peña Youth Group, will travel the route between Barrio Santana and Calle Muro, where he will attend to the children. On the same Saturday afternoon, from 16:00 hours, in La Candelaria Park in Las Lagunas, 'Ilumina la Navidad' (Light up Christmas), a children's party organised by the Mijas Town Hall will take place, with games, workshops and a 'photocall'. From 16:30 there will be storytelling and from 18:00 there will be chocolate with 'churros' for everyone. 

For New Year's Eve, the Brotherhood of Cristo de la Paz has prepared a party which can be enjoyed on the Plaza Virgen de la Peña from 00:30 on the 1st of January in the new year. Furthermore, the Christmas market on the Plaza de la Constitución will continue to be open until the 30th of December from 11:00 to 19:00 hours and the Solidarity Tree Route can be visited until the 5th of January in Mijas Village.
