The Mijas Town Hall, through the Operational Services Department, is carrying out restoration work on the asphalt in various streets in the municipality. This plan covers a total area of 31,500 m2 and has an investment of more than 300,000 euros, corresponding to the 2023 budget, which were pending execution. 

These actions include the milling, asphalt paving and the filling of the manholes of the different services that are on the road. At the same time, the horizontal signposting is also being painted. The work is being carried out on Avenida Puerto de Los Gatos, Calle Arcaduces and Avenida Mare Nóstrum, located in La Cala, as well as on some sections of the road to Coín.

The councillor responsible for Operational Services, Daniel Gómez Teruel (PP), pointed out that the work to improve the municipal road network "also contributes to reinforcing road safety, an aspect which the Town Hall wants to focus on in all the roads under its jurisdiction". The work, which began on November 30th, is scheduled to be completed before the 22nd of this month.
