Victory for Spanish dressage at the Kür Grand Prix Eulen Group Dressage Trophy, a competition that counts towards the European League of the World Cup in the most important indoor competition in the world.  The rider from Mijas, José Daniel Martín Dockx, Olympian in London and Rio de Janeiro, and his horse Malagueño LXXXIII, a 13 year old chestnut which was the only Spanish thoroughbred in the competition, performed an exercise highly valued by the judges with 80,870 points, one point ahead of the second classified, German Alexander Rath.  The horse from Francisco Santiago Ruiz's stud farm and his rider thrilled the audience with an exercise that included the piaffe, passage, some of them perfect, the transitions and the final reaction with a standing ovation from the Madrid Ifema to the winner of the test to the sound of the Spanish guitar. Martín's main goal for 2024 will be to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.
