After making half of Malaga laugh, with great acceptance by the public, 'Un secreto a voces' arrives in Mijas, another production by Álvaro Carrero with a quartet of actors with pure Malaga DNA. Pablo Puyol, Virginia Muñoz, Noemí Ruiz and Miguel Ángel Martín star in 'Una hermana para tres hermanos', another comedy written and directed by Carrero under the umbrella of Producciones La Cochera, which will be performed this Friday, 17th of November, at 21:00 at the Las Lagunas Theatre, and is sure to get the audience laughing. Tickets are priced at 15 euros in advance and 18 euros on the day. Painting exhibition
Another entertainment alternative for Friday is offered by the Folk Museum in Mijas Village, which inaugurates an exhibition of paintings by Rosario Moreno at 20:00 hours. At 64 years of age, this Mijeña, (a native of Mijas), continues to pursue her learning with enthusiasm. She started painting at the Open University in Mijas and now she presents a collection of works, as she says, with a lot of love. In her canvases she captures her reality, her feelings and what she sees with her eyes.
Solidarity Games
Playing also teaches us to show solidarity and we can raise funds to help the Three Wise Men with toys. This is the dual purpose of the Red Cross, which is once again organising a new edition of Solidarity Games on Saturday 18th of November. This fun day will be held at the Andalucía Park in Las Lagunas in the morning, from 11:00 to 14:00 hours, and in the afternoon, from 16:00 to 19:00 hours. For a small entrance fee of 1.50 euros, families will be able to take part in traditional games, raffles, workshops, survival games, board games, a vehicle exhibition and drone shows.
Charity Gala Dinner
The Lions Club is organising a gala fundraising dinner on Saturday. The event will take place at 20:00 hours at the Hotel Ilunion in Mijas. The cover charge is 70 euros and the event will be entertained with live music by the band The Bricks. More information and reservations on 660 675 793.
Flamenco night
The Peña Flamenca del Sur, located on Paseo Costa del Sol in La Cala de Mijas, invites us once again on Saturday to a night of pure art and 'duende', with José León on vocals and Carlos Haro on guitar, a performance within the framework of the XVI Concurso Torreón del cante (16th Torreón del cante competition).
