The fire in Mijas has been extinguished. At one o'clock at midday, Infoca finally declared the fire, which started in the early hours of Sunday morning in Los Condes and spread southwards through the Valtocado area, to be over. Until then, the troops have been working in the area refreshing the hot spots. The weather conditions, as there was no strong wind, they say, have helped to prevent it from reactivating. The origin of the fire, which has burnt 250 hectares, is still unknown. 

The fire started at 4:00 on Sunday and 6 aerial resources, 180 professionals and 8 fire engines from Infoca, as well as fire brigades from Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Marbella and the Malaga Provincial Fire Brigade Consortium worked to extinguish it, making a total of around 250 agents.
