The MiMoana group organised a new cleaning day on Saturday 28th along the coastline of Mijas. The event took place in the area of Calahonda and the waste collection took place during the morning from Royal Beach to La Luna. The councillors for the Environment and Beaches of the Mijas Town Hall once again collaborated in this initiative, the aim of which is, above all, to continue to raise awareness among the population about the importance of caring for the environment. 

In total, around twenty volunteers took part, including entire families who never miss this event, and around 300 kilos of waste was collected, some of it considerably large. The waste collected was sorted on the beach and the larger items were taken to the Punto Limpio. With this initiative the Mi Moana 'pirates' continue to do their bit for the care of our beaches.
